Raquel had an application to write for the Jump Start program, so we started by working on that. Then we were able to get into the research and outline she'd created for her paper. Once we started writing Raquel's issues became very clear. She has a very hard time focusing on one idea at a time and often tries to cram too much information into a sentence or paragraph. We focused on slowing down and building her ideas step by step. She definitely improved as the class went on, I'm interested to read what she writes over the weekend.
