We discussed animal shelters, specifically discussing a beaver's shelter. We listened to a read aloud, "My First Animal Library, Beavers." We observed the pictures of the beaver's dam. We discussed what Penny's shelter is (her home). Penny created a beaver's dam with craft sticks, sticks, and leaves. She enjoyed placing each object on top of each other.
