Read "The Nativity Story" for young children. Penny pointed to the pictures of the people who were the characters in the story. Created an Advent Christmas tree chain using red and green construction paper. On several strips of paper, Penny dictated things she could do to live as God wants us to live. She wrote the words that were her high frequency words being learned this week.
Practiced writing numbers up to 10 but pointed to the numbers up to 30. Practiced counting by 10's up to 100. Created a hopscotch game using construction paper so that the game can be played anywhere.
