Letter Identification – Penny finished placing all upper case letter cards in alphabetical order while repeating the alphabet song.
She also played a letter matching game on my I-Pad to reinforce this skill.
Sight Words – Penny worked on blending 2 sounds together to make a word such as; am, is, it, and at. This blending activity will be used often to form words easily sounded out.
Letter Sounds – Today we played school. Penny was the teacher , at times, and then I was (ha, ha). Using a pointer and an alphabet strip we would sing an alphabet “sound” song and then, taking turns, pointed to a letter and give its name and sound.
