Math – We explored Lesson 12 Multiplication and Division Facts. Kelcy is learning to determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation relating three whole numbers. He is learning that in a division problem the total number of items is always the dividend or number we are dividing. Then we learned that the divisor and quotient can be multiplied to find the product.

Science – Kelcy studied how leaves make food for a plant. He learned that the green color is from a chemical called chlorophyll stored in the leave's cells. It absorbs sunlight and uses the sun’s energy to make its food. He learned that leaves also need water to make their own food.
