Sight-word recognition – Fishing game - Each colorful fish is printed with a common sight-word... Penny used the magnetic fishing pole to “catch” the fish, and say the word, blending 2 – 3 sounds to say the word.
Sight Words – Penny read the words on her word ring. After which she read a book with a few of her sight words titled, ”Can You See It?”
Memory Development - We played a Disney memory game, which plays a major role in letter recognition, letter sound memory, sight word knowledge, and later, reading comprehension.
Upper and Lower Case Letter Recognition – Penny played a game on the I-pad which helps with identification of upper and lower case relationship.
