Math – Kelcy began to explore patterns in a series of numbers. He identified diagonal, horizontal, and vertical patterns in addition tables. He learned how to find descriptions for patterns to help him determine the rule for the pattern. Next he used the rule to determine the next number in the pattern.
Science – Kelcy learned that all living things are made of cells which are too small to see with a microscope. Then he learned that plants are made of plant cells and leaves play an important role in a plant’s survival. Then he worked on his photosynthesis project. He added the Sun’s energy which a plant needs to perform photosynthesis and green leaves which is where it is performed.
