Math – Kelcy continued to develop his understanding of patterns. He used an addition table to complete problems which required him to highlight odd and even addends to identify patterns. Then he began to model multiplication patterns. Next he worked on iReady problems that introduced him to fractions. He has learned that 3/3 = 1 whole.
Science – Kelcy worked on his photosynthesis project. He added carbon dioxide which is a gas that is everywhere. He learned that when we breathe out carbon dioxide is released which is needed for a plant to perform photosynthesis. He labeled the path water takes from the soil to the roots and through the stem to the leaves.
