Kelcy demonstrated some of his soccer skills outdoors for the last half-hour of the day. He interacted with two other students and made several goals, kicking the ball into the net with good aim, accuracy, and force. We discussed foot dominance, and Kelcy explained that although he was right-handed, he was left foot dominant and demonstrated this preference as he made goals. We discussed soccer terminology, and Kelcy explained and demonstrated moves such as the 'L-turn' and 'scoop'used against defenders. He showed me how to stop the ball dead on the end line. We ended the session researching Lionel Messi, Kelcy's favorite player, learned that he hails from Argentina, is 33 years of age, and that he is a soccer player with the Argentina national team. Kelcy knew that the term 'footballers' is used for soccer in Argentina. He was happy and proud to tell me that his team won the championship in yesterday's game in Jupiter, and that the final score was 3-5. He politely thanked me and said goodbye before leaving when his mom arrived to pick him up.
