Kip and I began our session with Kip completing fifteen minutes of iReady. I then printed our calendar for the week and observed the assignments to be completed. For language arts, this week is 'Read Across America Week'. We listened to a read aloud, "Cat in the Hat" by Justin Bieber. Kip then wrote an opinion piece in his journal, responding to the prompt, 'If you could interview Dr. Seuss, what would you say to him?' Kip had wonderful questions to ask Dr. Seuss such as "what is your favorite book?" and "how many books have you written?" Kip and I then explored Dr. Seuss' website and played a game from the website. Kip then read aloud, "The Eye Book" by Dr. Seuss.
