Lesson Outline
Math – Kelcy completed a test on Unit 2. Then he learned that area refers to the amount of space a two-dimensional figure takes up. One-dimensional figures have no volume. Kelcy found the area of a rectangle by counting individual square units or by multiplying the length and width of the figure. Next he learned that the array of tiles must not be too far apart or close together but touching on the sides for the area to be accurate. Then he learned by measuring square units that they can be inches or centimeters and when you multiply them they become units squared. He understands this concept.
