Math – Kelcy took the math test.
Kelcy discovered what life would be like on Earth without the atmosphere. He learned that the temperature would be uncomfortable, we couldn’t breathe, and there would be no rain. Then he explored the ozone layer in Earth’s atmosphere. He learned that Earth’s ozone layer forms when lightning interacts with oxygen in the air and it protects the Earth from ultraviolet rays that would kill plants, animals, and cause skin cancer in humans. Kelcy learned that gravity is what holds us to the ground and it is why things fall when we drop them. Next we worked on a project where we added the layers of the atmosphere and what they do for the Earth. Then we added the Earth and the percent of each element in the air we breathe.
