Kip and I began our session with Kip completing fifteen minutes of iReady. We then listened to two Dr. Seuss read alouds, "Sleep Book" and "Bartholomew and the Oobleck". I asked Kip with some questions before, during, and after reading. Kip made a list of all the places the characters sleep in the book. He then added different animals to the character list and discussed where certain animals can be found sleeping. We then did a science experiment, making 'Oobleck' with water, corn starch, and food coloring. Kip also filled out a lab sheet, predicting what will happen when we mix the ingredients, described the 'Oobleck' with his five senses, and illustrated the 'Oobleck' as a solid and a liquid.
