Lesson Outline
Kip and I began our session with submitting the assignments completed this week thus far. Kip completed fifteen minutes of reading iReady. Kip completed a vocabulary activity, finding context clues to find the definition of the vocabulary words learned this week. We took turns reading aloud a religion reading, "The Eucharist is the heart of the church's life". We watched a video introducing area & perimeter of irregular shapes. Kip then completed math workbook pages, 347-350, finding the area of irregular shapes. He completed a 1 minute drill division practice. Kip completed fifteen minutes of math iReady. For social studies, we read aloud, "Rural Communities" and answered questions pertaining to the reading. We watched a video introducing opinion writing using the 'OREO' method (opinion, reasons, evidence/examples, opinion) and how to write an introduction. Kip began & completed writing his introduction for his opinion piece on soccer.
