Math and Social Studies – Kelcy continued to practice solving one-step word problems using multiplication and division. He continued to practice assigning variables to the unknown factor in an array and solving for them. Then he practiced going between multiplication and division to solve for the variable. He completed today’s mathematics work and homework and the work for Friday since there is no school. Next he worked on his social studies assignment for the week which is a poster on the type of community in which he would like to live. He wrote a paragraph describing a suburban community and why he would choose this type of environment. Then he created a poster with pictures of parks, homes, and soccer fields in a suburb.
