Lesson Outline
Penny explored different careers and the unique tools needs for some careers. Penny had to think about the tools, draw a picture of the tools, and write the name of the tools. We practiced sounding out the words for each tool. Penny read the story "Tom on Top" and identified words in the sentences and end punctuation. Penny was introduced to finding textual evidence in a story to help her answer the questions about a story or picture in the story. Penny practiced the "o" sound as in "mop" and "pot." Penny identified careers based on the pictures and details in the pictures that she saw. Penny also practiced adding numbers under 10 together.
