Jasmine asked if I would help her with sentence writing. At school, she is asked to look at a picture and write a paragraph about it, and she finds this difficult. I shared the front cover of the novel on screen, and we wrote a paragraph. Jasmine described the main character, the setting and alluded to the plot. The result was a nice summary of the book. Next, we co-read a chapter of the novel.
