Lucas was given his clay sculpture and we worked together to attach the second wing for his eagle sculpture. I worked with Lucas to cut two, two-inch-long dowels that would be used for the legs of his eagle. Lucas and I made holes for the dowels and inserted them into the bottom of the eagle. Lucas used clay to lock the dowels in place and to shape the thigh area of the leg. Lucas used tinfoil to begin shaping the feet for his eagle. Lucas removed the feet from the eagle and placed the eagle upside down in the oven and baked it for 20 minutes.
