Noelle and I began with a quick check of her homework on using the least common denominator to find equivalent fractions. Then, we focused on writing fractions in their lowest terms or simplifying fractions by dividing numerators and denominators by their greatest common factors. Our recent fraction lessons were applied when Noelle added fractions with like denominators and then changed improper fractions to mixed numbers and simplified the fractions to their lowest terms.
