Lesson Outline
ELA: Today we began with grammar. We reviewed The Preposition Song as Macy is working to memorize these. Her textbook lesson focused on adverbs. We reviewed words frequently used to describe how, when, and where. Macy scored 89% on identifying the adverb and labeling if it was telling how, when, and where.
Macy also practiced reciting her Paul Revere’s Ride poem, which will be assessed later this week. Finally, for literature, we read the final two chapters of Caddie Woodlawn. Our prediction was correct – the family will stay in America! We were also excited to see Indian John had returned, and so did the long-lost dog, Nero! Macy began a character analysis by brainstorming character traits for characters in the novel. Latin: Macy completed page 76 in her textbook, which is part of lesson 13. She completed a chart on regular principal parts for “amo” and she completed a chart for the irregular principal parts of sto, lavo, do, juvo, and sum. Next, she completed some grammar charts for the 1st conjugation present system tense endings and the perfect system tense endings.
