Lesson Outline
ELA: Today we began with grammar. The lesson focused on choosing different adverbs. Macy was provided with a word bank of 8 words and had to fill in the blanks of sentences, utilizing the best adverbs for the context. Next, we read chapter 7 in the novel, The Pioneers Go West. After reading, Macy and I each wrote comprehension questions and traded with each other for responses. We enjoyed some fun with an online Oregon Trail activity where we had to plan our trip with purchasing supplies and simulated travel. Latin: Macy made notecards of the first declension endings in the nominative, genitive, dative, accusative, and ablative order. We read through key information about how Latin words have gender (masculine, feminine, and neuter) as well as a lack of articles. We made notecards on some of these rules as well.
