Andrew had a tough class today. The content we are learning is not easy, and today seemed to overwhelm him a little bit. At one point he just stared and said, "I gotta be honest, I have no clue what I'm doing." He was trying, but he seemed to forget some basic concepts, so I assume he was shutting down. I assured him that it's ok, we will take the time we need to make sure he understands. I re-explained what the question wanted, and I broke down the steps he needed to do. We referred to his graphic organizer to recall the meaning of some vocab words. We got through the review. Andrew seemed to feel a little better after the lesson. We will review one more day before I give him a test.
