We played on the piano and learned about the location of some of the different notes. We talked about harmony and dissonance, and how some notes sound good together, while others don't. We played some simple 3 to 4 note melody lines on the piano. We played some rhythms on the hand percussion instruments, and talked quite a lot about the castanets. We watched a video of a Spanish man and woman performing some flamenco music on the guitar and castanets. We played some of our own rhythms using the hand drums, maracas, castanets, triangles, and tambourine.
