Given the choice to use drawing prompts or free draw, Cam chose a drawing prompt called "It's not a line, it's a..." He created an Iron Man drawing from one horizontal line. Then I asked him to draw a tree in his sketchbook, and he cleverly showed the tree roots, the base of the tree on the horizon, and the leaves and sky. I complimented him on this very smart artistic choice. He worked hard creating values to give the tree texture and a three-dimensional quality.
