For the first day of Art Studio Upper School, I asked each student to draw a tree in his sketchbook. It could be any kind of tree from memory or imagination. This drawing exercise is valuable, as it shows how each student has his own individual artistic style. Cam had the insight to include the roots of the tree, the middle part of the tree, and the branches and leaves. His finished tree drawing is excellent! His use of shading to create volume, drama, and texture is skillful! He took his time and was thoughtful about his artist's signature. Well done, Cam!
