Billy has done everything he can to avoid doing the missing work in his classes. I've been asking him for two weeks to talk to his reading teacher and bring those assignments with him. He has yet to do that, but I bought the book they're working on so today, he didn't have any excuse. In talking about the material he says he's already read, it became clear that he's putting little to no effort into this class. He couldn't tell me any of the details, but instead waited for me to spoonfeed them to him. We couldn't work on any of the assignments as I don't know what the teacher is looking for, but he says he will bring them with him on Monday. I gave him the next three chapters to read (he says the teacher won't let him bring the book home) so he can get caught up with the class. We spent the class going over the first section.
