Maya watched a clip on The Statue of Liberty introducing the inscription plaque posted on her base. We discussed the meaning of what it means and she colored an illustration of immigrants approaching America. She finished sketching the statue, and put together a craft with the inscription on it for her to memorize. After just 5 minutes of rehearsing her lines, she has the majority of it memorized.
