Maya was motivated to type her fable completely independently today. We spent our time together in the lab working on her fable. I was very impressed with Maya because she automatically did some revising and editing as she typed. I was particularly impressed with her willingness to add more to her story. When she noticed spelling errors she wanted me to fix them for her. I helped her with spelling by identifying smaller words or parts within the tricky word or by using other words with the same pattern. At first she was resistant, but then took the direction well as she saw she could fix her mistakes on her own. She also seemed to overcome her confusion with spelling the word said:) I am very proud of her!

Today Maya was so resistant to the editing and revision process at first, but then did wonderfully drafting and improving her fable. I. Did have to redirect her countless times in the lab, but that is understandable with all of the traffic in there :)
