Although Kayla did make the effort to do a few problems, and seek help at school, she did not complete her homework assignment. She said that she did not know how to do the exercises and that she did not have her book with her when she went for help at school. I reminded her that we had worked similar examples together, and asked her to refer to her session notes, but she did not have them. I explained that it is important to take good notes, keep them organized, and refer to them as she works on her homework assignments. I also recommended that she make a habit of referring to the examples in the text book, especially if she can not find her session notes.I promised to not reduce her homework grade, if she would complete all of it by our next class meeting.
