Wilson Step 2.3 Welded Exceptions
Lesson Outline
We started the session with multiplicaton facts on the balance board, reviewing sevens and eights. We followed the Wilson lesson steps reviewing a closed syllable, blends and suffix s then welded exceptions. Symone read 15 of 15 welded exceptions correctly and then read 10 sentences. She is still grasping the concept of scooping the words as a reader would fluently read them and not cutting a sentence in half randomly. We reviewed the blends, suffix s and welded exceptiongs again in spelling. During dictation, when she taps the the words she is much more likely to get them correct and she is beginning to realize it's faster to do it the first time. She read a short story in the Wilson reader and then we did an article about a student and his service dog which she found interesting. As always, she was very focused and attentive throughout the lesson.
