Step 3 and Multiplication Review
Lesson Outline
Symone began the session with a review of letter and welded sounds. Several nonsense words were created with the magnetic tiles and Symone had no difficulty reading them. Word cards from step 3 were read by Symone. She matched syllables of various words and then read them. Some words were dictated to Symone and she spelled them using the magnetic tiles. For the written part of the lesson Symone experienced some difficulty. She had problems spelling words with either the short i or e sound. She did an excellent job spelling the nonsense words. Symone is learning to spell words one syllable at a time. She practiced multiplication facts. For the final aspect of the lesson we worked on solving a word problem.
