Genres of Photography -
Will and I listed the different kinds of photography, in which people choose to specialize. We used some books to examine some examples of a few genres on the list. We started with Architectural photography, examining photographs of skyscrapers, lighthouses, and interior structures of colonial homes. We discussed how many photographers take pictures of buildings in their entirety, but it is just as valid to capture detailed images of selected parts, such as windows, doors, interesting lines or shadows. We then walked around outside the school, and Will took photographs of the architectural details of the Seminole shopping center, currently under repair. Homework: Will should take pictures of architectural details of his home, due Thursday.
