Kelly asked questions about the parts of speech in a sentence. We reviewed her grammar exercises that she had completed the night before. We then completed a vocabulary exercise, and brainstormed ways to remember her new vocab. Kelly has a grammar test coming up at the end of the week. so I found more exercises for her to practice the parts of speech and identifying the different types of verbs in a sentence (action, linking and helping). To finish our session, Kelly started a short writing assignment that relates to the reading exercise we completed yesterday, where she will use her new vocabulary words in the writing.
