Lesson Topic
The Rock Cycle
Lesson Outline
We reviewed that the rock cycle is the series of processes that transport and continually change rocks into different forms. When magma cools beneath Earth’s surface or lava cools on Earth’s surface, mineral crystals form changing the material into igneous rock. Then we learned about uplift which is a process that moves large bodies of Earth materials to higher elevations. Uplift builds mountains after millions of years.
