Lesson Outline
Today we worked through the FLVS lesson on plot. We finished the exercises for the lesson and Eecho took the quiz. He scored 100% on the machine graded portions. On the essay questions that must be graded by humans, Eecho generated a humorous and original parallel plot line for the Tortoise and the Hare fable. I pointed Eecho to a link that can help him to complete the graphic organizer he must complete for The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. Eecho has an impressively strong grasp of what constitutes plagiarism and how to avoid it.

Lesson Comments
He was willing to stay more time to complete it together, but I am uncertain as to whether that is desired by his mother or not. I do think he is quite capable of finishing assignments independently. As Eecho's mother and I discussed, he is quite creative and humorous, but has a block when typing. I recommended dictation software. When working together, it seems to help a great deal when I type what Eecho says aloud. He is far less inhibited that way.
