Dillon's fluency is steadily improving. On today's ongoing progress monitoring, he read the passage at 89 wcpm. He did this with appropriate pausing and good expression. He was practicing at home and it shows! Next, we continued work on finding main ideas and key details in a text with a biography of Kevin Durant. Dillon read 3 chapters and identified the main idea and 2 supporting details in each of the chapters. Dillon still needs support finding the main idea of a passage because he sometimes lists the supporting details as the main idea. We will continue to work on this important skill.
