Session Date
Lesson Topic
Journal; irregular verb review; Story - Una guitarra misteriosa
Lesson Outline
30 minutes - We went outside to write in Chase’s journal. This includes: date, time, weather, people and activities at the time we are outside. Today, Chase included a description of her dress for her upcoming “prom”. She wrote in Spanish including many of the new vocabulary words we had practiced on Monday of this week.
25 minute - We returned inside and reviewed the conjugation of irregular verbs, their meanings and how they can be used with idiomatic phrases.
5 minute break...
60 minutes- we continued reading La guitarra misteriosa. As the story evolves, it is necessary to identify the 2 evolving plots and characters involved in each plot. We did this in Spanish - one at a time. Chase is maintaining a list of characters and a vocabulary list.
I will not be able present on Monday, April 2, Chase will have a substitute. Chase has requested not to continue the story with the sub. So she will be doing a complete grammar and pronunciation review with the sub as we have been told the sub is a native speaker. This will be a great opportunity for her to hear another person speaking Spanish and get used to another “accent”.
