Charlie did an overview of cells today. He watched a Brain Pop video on both plant and animal cells and the differences in each. He looked at a diagram of a plant and animal cell and discussed organelles and their functions in the cell. We also discussed cell theory and the three main ideas (1) all living things are made of one or more cells (2) the cell is the basic unit of life in which all activities occur (3) all cells come from cells that already exist.
