Dillon used last week's readings to compare and contrast two big cats (tiger/lion). He filled out a Venn Diagram with information from the readings. Next, he read a science article about Pluto. He was really interested in this topic and shared that he was going on a field trip to a Science museum with his class. As Dillon read the article, he underlined key ideas. Next, he began working on some comprehension questions. He used test-taking strategies when answering, including crossing out obvious incorrect answers and finding text evidence to support his answers. Dillon was very happy during our session, and he was thrilled to give me the thank you card and gift. It was a very kind gesture, and I so appreciate it. I am so pleased with Dillon's progress. He is a hard worker and eager to do well.
