Today Sophia began our lesson with a creative writing journal piece. This provided me with a good writing sample to help focus our lessons. When she was finished, I introduced her to a reading program called Reading Eggs. She designed her avatar, read several short paragraphs, and answered comprehension questions. She will have a log in for this program to take home so she can work on her account during rainy afternoons. It will allow for a little extra practice for her. Most students find "Reading Eggs" motivating and fun.
