The focus of this lesson will be to increase fluency when reading long vowel words in the V-C-E pattern. All the sections of the lesson will use nonsense words. I'll also provide a practice sheet that works on b and d recognition.

Sophia was dropped off at 10:20 so we had some time to chat. She also got to use an app that works on identifying b's and d's. This soft start helps Sophia work better during a lesson. The lesson went well. Since Sophia read 14 out of 15 nonsense words correctly, we'll be going onto substep 4.2 on Monday, introducing multi-syllable words containing the v-c-e and closed syllables.
