calendar, 100 chart - reviewed 1-25 on board. Worksheet counting 26-29. Counted to create a group of 20 objects - this was difficult for Stephen and Quinn. Gwendolyn - worksheets matching words and sentences to illustrations - 100%. Anna/Quinn review sheet on initial sounds of A,C,D,G,L,O,S. They both still have trouble printing the letters - Anna can recall but her small motor skill isn't developed enough. Quinn actually knows the letter to choose but can't always recall how to write it - however, once I show him the letter, he can copy it with some difficulty. Stephen - reviewed identifying initial sounds of words-he still has difficulty with this, but he is young and I am not going to push him to mastery at this time. I am going to introduce the new letter sounds to him as I teach them to Anna and Quinn and just let him absorb what he can until it clicks. He still has all of next year to master them. I am going to have him work a lot with games like LeapFrog fridge letters and Starfall.com, etc. to make it fun so he doesn't get discouraged because as you know, he now loves to do his work! We worked on our Valentine's. Review discussion of community - looked at Time For Kids neighborhood map and Berenstein Bear's neighborhood map.
