Jason and I read about Wampanoag clothing and looked at pictures of authentic Wampanoag clothing. He colored a picture of Wampanoag clothing including deerskin, a pouch, and moccasins. We discussed how the deerskin was very warm and protective from scratches while the Wampanoag hunted in the forest. We discussed how moccasins are soft and helped the Wampanoag stay quiet in the forest while hunting.
Jason read a passage about the first Thanksgiving. He wrote his answers to the follow-up questions. We discussed the story of the first Thanksgiving and used the globe to trace the path of the pilgrims across the Atlantic Ocean from England to The New World.
