Practice writing the words with blends and using them in sentences orally. Take each word and have Jason practice spelling them using the magnet letters. Spell the words to him and have him put the magnets in the correct order. Next, have him copy them on paper. Then to check understanding of word meaning, orally make sentences using the words.
Review the words worked on in language arts and begin to recall other words. Use the magnetic letters to make up more words with the ending blends. Help to sound out each of the letters up to the blend and have Jason put them together.
Jason and I reviewed the subject pronouns of Spanish and we spoke about different groups of people for which we would use them.
A portion of our session time today was spent discussing productive ways of dealing with life's frustrations. There was an incident with Jason's lunch. He was frustrated and we spoke about productive ways to solve problems and healthy ways to express anger.
Jason and I had an honest and respectful conversation with Ms. Elise at the front of the school. Those two brainstormed solutions and came to a resolution that worked for both of them.
