We worked on solving word problems with repeated addition. We drew pictures to help find the solutions. We followed a rule and solved addition and subtraction problems from tables. We worked on finding the number of sides and vertices of two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes.

Saskiia read all her sight words and high frequency words. She completed several phonics activities. She read and discussed another story about maps and was able to identify the main idea and the key details.

We worked on word problems requiring 2 steps. First, we determined whether we were finding the sum or difference by looking for keywords. Then we reread the problem to make certain that we were going about it the correct way.

We practiced the method of counting up to subtract from two–digit numbers. Then we used a number line for subtraction. Next, we wrote the numbers vertically and subtracted the ones columns and tens columns separately.
