Andrew and I reviewed the fundamental components of Freedom of Speech as well and learned about a number of components associated with this amendment. We discussed Pure vs. Symbolic Speech, obscenity, defamation, slander, libel, commercial speech, fighting words, and seditious speech. We discussed how each of these considerations relate to the amendment.

Andrew and I worked on outlining the introduction and conclusion paragraphs. We discussed strategies for moving through writers block, and how essays are like sequential short-answer questions. To reinforce this, we began working through the three content paragraphs of his paper.
