This afternoon, Bobby and I regrouped and reviewed the homework from last Friday. We are beginning our study of early China. Homework is to complete the questions on pages 182-187.
This afternoon Bobby and I discussed the three different topics that he will be selecting in order to complete his expository writing project. This also gave us the opportunity to discuss some of the points that were expressed during the CNN special "Inside the mind of a 13 year old" and the issues surrounding social media and teens. We also constructed an outline which will help Bobby organize his thoughts.
After warm-up and stretch, Bobby did Arnold presses, overhead tricep rope extensions, TRX bicep curls, tire hammers,diamond push-ups, hammer curls (rope), DB shrugs, DB skull crushers, and reverse curls.
This morning Bobby and I began the setup of a DJI Phantom 3 drone. Bobby has experience with this particular drone and was therefore able to help me with the initial setup and synching with the program app. One potential issue was the absence of a USB cable for the transmitter to be linked with the iPad. Bobby and I are taking the initial steps in developing an introductory drone program.
Bobby and I completed the practice questions on page 252. This had been assigned for homework but Bobby and his family had been out late and he was unable to complete his work. He is still struggling with the basic steps on how to solve this type of problem. We completed the problems on page 252 and began to practice one or two of the problems assigned for homework. Page 255 #'s 11-18.
Booby and I will continue our video on The Image Revolution. We will review the economics that made the creators of this company so successful. We will also look at what would lead to the downfall of some of the company's members.
Bobby re-read "Tell Tale Heart." While reading he looked for evidence to support his answers to comprehension questions. Bobby added details to his plot diagram. He edited a paragraph for capitalization, punctuation, and spelling errors.
Bobby should review spelling words and definitions of literary devices for a quiz.
Bobby and I returned to the new school to feed and water the mantids. We are trying a new type of nutrient compound that is enriched with vitamins and also provides essential hydration. It has been challenging going back and forth from both schools but hopefully we will be moving soon. I have also ordered two cultures of wingless fruit flies to help provide additional nutrition for the mantids.
