This morning Bobby and I continued to work on solving expressions with multiple fractions and different operations. Short term retention continues to be a stumbling block but class participation is good. We also discussed some entreprenerial possibilities using math to construct proforma statements. Homework complete the problems on page 252 in the text.
Bobby warmed up and stretched, then did squats, glute bridges, thrust ups to reverse lunges, glute kickbacks (weighted), jump rope, calf raises (single), toe touches, Russian twists, cool down and stretch. (Weight 18.2 +2)
Bobby read Poe's "Tell Tale Heart." Bobby used clues to determine meaning. Bobby worked on a plot diagram of the story. He noted the story's beginning, conflict, rising action, climax, falling action, and then the resolution. Bobby should study spelling words and definitions of literary elements for upcoming quizzes.
Bobby corrected grammatical errors in his book/movie report. Commas were added to sentences with introductory phrases. Commas and conjunctions were added to correct run-on sentences. We began organizing Bobby's next writing assignment on Poe's "Tell Tale Heart."
Today Bobby finds the use of a Volume formula in math can be used to determine how many cement truck loads are required to lay the footings on his dream home. He also reviews how many cubic feet are in a cubic yard. Further, he is able to figure out the cost of his cement footings.
After warm up and stretch, Bobby did landmine chest presses, DB push up/rows, DB chest flys, chin ups, lower cable raises, good mornings, toe touches, Russian twists, staionary bio, cool down and stretch.
