This morning Bobby and I practiced the problems on pages 338-339 which focus on proportions and converting scale measurements. Bobby came to class prepared and did a good job in solving the proportions using the two step technique we drilled in class. Homework is to complete #'s 1-9 on pages 345-346. We will be moving forward into chapter seven to cover percentages and converting them to fractions and vice versa.
This morning Bobby and I moved forward with the next chapter of our study of multicellular living organisms. We are beginning our exploration of protists and a review of eukaryotic cells. I have asked Bobby to prepare a word bank for the reading which coincides with the recommendations from Dr. Alexakis. We will complete the questions at the end of the section during our next class. Homework is to read pages 265-274.

This afternoon Bobby and I reviewed his homework from the previous evening. The topic has been focused on the life and accomplishments of Alexander the Great. After completing our review, I asked Bobby to write a short essay summarizing some aspects of AtG's life. After some encouragement Bobby succeeded in completing a one paragraph essay which was the second essay of this type today.
This afternoon Bobby and I began our work on the keynote presentation featuring Arachnid physiology and the tarantula. Bobby prepared an introduction on paper by identifying five interesting and relevant points regarding arachnids. These will be inserted into a slide and comprise the bulk of his introduction. This is the second writing piece of this type today. The hope is that he will become more comfortable and find it easier to accomplish this task in the future.
