Bobby continued from this morning, making edits to his car comparison paragraph. We discussed why changes were made - for better flow, grammar, and structure. He did a great job!
Bobby did not bring his math textbook to school this morning but we used this time to go over the International System of measurement or the SI. This is a variation of the metric system which is used predominately in most developed countries except the Untied States. Many of the scale drawings that we are reviewing including the corresponding proportions use metric conversions.
Bobby learned about the use of adverbs on Khan Academy website, in relation to their modification of adjectives and verbs. We saw examples on the "chalkboard" and interactive video.
This afternoon Bobby and I focused on the outline for his next digital presentation on arachnid physiology etc. We also took advantage of the time to organize his science binder and to organize the loose papers in his room. Bobby did not bring his daily planner to school today which hampered his ability to record his homework assignments.
Bobby and I continued our study of ancient Greece as well as the conflict between Sparta and Athens. We took a close look at how the two different societies compared with each other and the circumstances surrounding the siege of Athens. We will be having a chapter quiz next week on this material. Homework is to read pages 298-303 and complete #'s 1-5.
Bobby will place the remaining logos for the student website. Once all logos are placed Bobby will create the remaining site descriptions. With the remaining time in the class Bobby will start linking the logos to the individual student home pages.
